National Council Member
David Munro is the Police and Crime Commissioner for Surrey, elected in May 2016, with the primary task of holding Surrey Police to account on behalf of Surrey's residents. He is also the national portfolio lead within the Association of PCCs for Equalities, Diversity and Human Rights, where his main priorities are improving diversity within all police forces, stamping out hate crime and ensuring that police Stop and Search powers are used fairly amongst all sections of the community. David is a firm supporter of the British policing system and all those police officers and staff who do so much to protect us from harm - but recognises that there is always more to achieve. His previous career was as an Army officer (Royal Engineers).
