PRESS RELEASE: FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WHITLEY NEILL GIN SPONSORS THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF LGBT+ CONSERVATIVES
The LGBT+ Conservatives is proud to unveil its sponsor for its 50th Anniversary events.
Whitley Neill is the UK’s most loved gin and number one selling gin, inspired by the very best flavours and ingredients from around the world.
With a pedigree going back two centuries, the brand has exploded in popularity recently with its amazing flavours, and its home being the award-winning City of London Distillery, the first and still the only gin distillery in the City of London.
The LGBT+ Conservatives have a range of events commemorating their 50th anniversary, including key upcoming events such as the ‘50 years: Members’ Reception with the Rt. Hon. Tom Tugendhat MBE VR MP and Blake Stephenson MP’, ‘50 Years and Still Dancing: The LGBT+ Conservatives Closing Party with DJ Lovespoon’ and ‘50 Years and Still Proud: The LGBT+ Conservatives Curry’ to name a few events this year. There will also be an exclusive event at Whitley Neill’s award-winning distillery planned for Christmas.
Alex Clarkson, Vice-Chairman for Outreach said: “It’s such a special time for us this 50th birthday, and I am thrilled Whitley Neill have joined us for the ride. We are the fastest growing Party affiliate - we are about inclusivity, personal freedom, opportunity and aspiration. Yes, we are about debate and advocacy around that, but we are massively about having fun too. So, it’s a double ‘G and LGBT’ for me please!”
Adam Halewood, Director of Halewood Artisanal Spirits Group added: “Whitley Neill are chuffed to be partnering with LGBT Conservatives for their 50th birthday. We are 200 years old, so you have a bit of catching up to do, but from one great brand to another, cheers to what we both stand for: fun, friendship and laughter - and of course the tireless pursuit of excellence!”
Samuel Hemsley, Vice-Chair for Membership, said: “You may be wondering what the LGBT + Conservatives and a prestigious gin brand have in common. Aside from being both being essential for a great night, it’s the fact we both strive to be authentically ourselves. It is this tireless pursuit of excellence that means both organisations are as strong as ever and as committed in our shared goals: to bring people together, share glass (or two!) and to have a fun time while we do it!”
George Wright, General Council, added: "At a time when other parties are abandoning British businesses, to be able to forge a partnership with Whitley Neill is a welcome opportunity. With us celebrating our 50th birthday this year, and now with such an excellent sponsor, I look forward to our upcoming events - and the chance to celebrate together."
