Church of England drops opposition to equal marriage

The following statement has been issued by the Covenor of the Lords Spiritual, confirming that, as Parliament has spoken decisively, the Church of England bishops will now drop their opposition to the Marriage (same sex couples) Bill.  We welcome this about turn and will now watch very carefully and with interest how the Bishops proceed from this point forward.
